Palladium is a rare silvery-white metal in the Platinum Group Metals (PGMs) family. It is prized for its industrial utility, especially in automotive catalytic converters, and is growing in popularity in jewelry, electronics, and investment markets.

Properties: Lightest of platinum-group metals, excellent catalyst.

Uses:

 

  • Catalytic converters (especially in gasoline engines)
  • Electronics (MLCCs, capacitors)
  • Dentistry and jewelry
  • Hydrogen purification
